Why must it be food?

Food, why does it have to be about food? Not like there's a wide list of choices available to me. Meh, anyway strangely enough, the most memorable food I've had this weekend was actually just canned tuna.

YES. CANNED TUNA
As I bit the preserved carcass of the probably weeks-old dead fish, I was actually pleasantly surprised that this was the same brand, same taste, and same feel as the ones we've used at home.

Back home, a favorite breakfast of mine would be to mix these with omelettes, oil and all. My dad, egg-lover he was, used to make it all the time, at least until he had his blood cholesterol measured and decided he wanted just the tuna. We still ate it for breakfast though.

Still, I'd been suffering a little homesickness that day. I'm from Baguio after all, and it's amazing to me how one can of tuna could bring a little taste of home, looks like I'll be eating this for awhile.
